Our MAJOR Kitchen Makeover

Our kitchen has been through a LOT. And after serving seven people at one point during the pandemic, we decided to give her a facelift. Here she is in her former glory:

We completed gutted the kitchen and hired a contractor to do the major renovations.

During this time, we make a makeshift kitchen in the dining room. This old reaaallll quick. And at one point, our living room was cabinet storage! After this, I was SO looking forward to “Install Day”.

Once the flooring was done and the cabinets were in, I was over the moon! A major feature was changed mid-way through the project and it turned out fantastic!

The skylights alone were worth the wait.

Not quite finished but here is the “after” shot of our kitchen! To save money, we primed, painted, and trimmed the kitchen ourselves. We were on a budget but if you can swing it, just let the contractor do everything lol.

We eventually added an accordion door to hide the washer and dryer and added various storage to maximize space. I am beyond ecstatic about how our kitchen turned out. And for those who are wondering, my husband, James, chose everything! Props to him!
