Free Resume, Linkedin, Github Review for Junior Developers from Underrepresented Groups in Tech

8/31/20 Update

When I started this service, I had just left a role. Since then I’ve started a new job (yay!) and will be focusing on on-boarding and transitioning into my new role.

I will still give resume reviews but will limit reviews to two a week. While I wish I could do more, I need to make sure everything is manageable. The process will still be the same:

1. Sign up for the waitlist.

2. I will contact a few people a week to make a 30-minute appointment.

3. You will get a reminder to send me your resume, Linkedin, or Github information.

4. I will review your profile, take notes, and provide actionable feedback.

5. During our appointment, I will go over my notes. You will get a copy of these notes too!

6. Lastly, provide me with feedback so I can improve. If you thought I did a good job, please write me a review on LinkedIn!

Lisa here. I know a lot of people may be searching for jobs during these troubling times. I’ve been thinking a lot about how I could directly help people and I’ve come up with providing free resume, LinkedIn, or GitHub reviews for junior developers from underrepresented groups from tech.

Underrepresented Groups in Tech?

If you don’t see yourself in the tech workforce, you’re underrepresented. If you need me to lay it out, here it is:

• womxn

• non-binary

• LGBTQ+

• black

• Hispanic or Latinx

• American Indian/Alaskan Native

• Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander

• Southeast Asian

• single parents

• veterans

• disabled

• low-income

• college dropouts

• immigrants

• and so much more!

Like I said, if you don’t see yourself in the tech workforce, it’s time to change that.
